Guiding
Having lived in the Vale of Clwyd for 22 years and then near Snowdonia for 18 years we have an extensive knowledge base which enables us to plan suitable routes for all.
Below are examples of some of the areas where we can take you on our guided rides.
The Clwydian Range and Hiraethog hills
These hills offer a great days riding offering brilliant views across to Snowdonia and over towards Cheshire and Merseyside. Offering a good mixture of climbing, rolling hillside and rollable natural descents these mountains are ideal for both beginners and seasoned riders. Llandegla MTB center also lies on the south of the Clwydians which offers great facilities for all.
Half or Full days guiding recommended
Snowdonia
Snowdonia offers a huge amount of natural riding ranging from well known trail centers like Coed y Brenin and the Gwydir Forest to natural bridleways and byways taking you to the more remote and scenic areas of the national park.
The Carneddau mountain range start by the sea and the town of Conwy offers the perfect start point to explore them. They offer great riding opportunities whilst also providing great views of the North Wales coast and provide challenging climbs and equally challenging descents. Routes can be planned for beginners and seasoned riders.
Half or Full days guiding recommended
Multi day riding
We can also offer multi day guiding either starting and finishing at the place your staying or can arrange overnight accommodation along the route.
Bikepacking
Bikepacking is becoming increasingly popular and we can offer these types of ride guiding with overnight stops in Bothys or wild camping (with land owners permission). These types of rides are more suited to experienced riders and require you to have a good level of fitness for long days on the bike, a suitable bike and suitable equipment for the duration of the ride.
We can also offer a beginners bikepacking guided ride for those who fancy trying it for the first time.
Coast to coast guiding
We are planning to provide challenging multi day guided rides from coast to coast across Wales.
We are still in the process of route planning and will be carrying out these rides for ourselves this spring and summer to determine the best route.
Examples of C2C route :
Conwy to Gower along the ancient roman road Sarn Helen taking in some of the best trail centres along the way including, Gwydir mawr (Marin trail), Penmachno, Coed y Brenin, Dyfi, Nant yr Arian and Afan forest.
